Last year Griff dropped her EP Vert1go Vol 1 and then a few months ago she released the Ver2igo Vol 2 EP. Both are great and show the growth of Griff’s music, with more serious lyrics over her signature upbeat pop sound. These EP’s songs are combined with six new tracks to make up Griff’s newest album, not surprisingly, called Vertigo.
The new songs are slower, more balladish, and are the glue that bring the whole album together, in my gay opinion. Most divas promise albums and then push out the release, but not Griff, she actually bumped up the date to get it to the fans sooner. The album is everything the EPs had been promising and more.
Griff is touring to support the new album and I was lucky enough to get tickets to see her in Boston in September. I’ve yet to see her live so it’s exciting to see what she brings to the stage. She’s been doing some in-store appearances in Europe to promote and sign copies of Vertigo, I’m hoping she might continue that trend when she hits The States.
