This past weekend I was introduced to the Good Person EP by new-to-me diva Camille Schmidt, who has a very cool folksy-pop sound. Camille’s sound is laid-back and mellow on the majority of the six-track EP except for “Fakeout Ending” which is rocking. In my gay opinion, the lyrics are begging for some self-love and have a desire to be loved by someone else. There’s a longing and beauty in Camille’s writing and voice that draws the listener in. What I love most of all, is that Camille is a queer, Brooklyn-based (close proximity for concerts and events) singer/song writer who is representing the QUILTBAG community well.
