Back in October, Griff released her Vert1go Vol 1 EP giving me hope for future volumes and she made good on that promise, by dropping Ver2igo Vol 2 last week. This EP continues in the same vein as Vol 1, darker lyrics over an upbeat vibe.
Whether Griff’s missing the person she used to be (“I Miss Me Too” and “Cycles”) or missing someone else (“Hole In My Pocket” and “Pillow In My Arms”), she’s got me happily twirling around while weaving her tales of love and loss. She’s sharing all the feels and then some. The EP might only be four songs but it fits a lot of emotion into those twelve minutes.
Every song on the EP has lyrics written or co-written by Griff. The emotions are real and personal, which makes for the best music, in my gay opinion.
